To calculate electricity cost, enter the power consumption, price of unit, and time of run, and click ‘Calculate’.
This electricity cost calculator helps to determine how much you need to pay for your electricity invoices at the end of each month. Every time you purchase a new electrical device, you may think about how much it will cost you to run it. The tool does exactly the same to answer you with accurate energy cost calculations.
For example, if you have purchased a refrigerator (Power Consumption: 150W) and run it for 10 hours daily, you just need to
You can manually calculate the electricity cost by using the formulas below:
Watts = (amps) x (volts)
Kilowatt-hours = (watts) x (usage) / 1000
Cost = (kilowatt-hours) x (electricity rate)
Let’s suppose you run a microwave oven and want to calculate its electricity cost based on monthly consumption!
As watts are already given, so we do not need to calculate
Kilowatt-hours = (watts) x (usage) / 1000
Kilowatt-hours = (2000 watts) x (10 hours/day) / 1000
Kilowatt-hours = 20 kWh/day
Assuming a 30-day month:
Monthly kWh = 20 kWh/day * 30 days = 600 kWh/month
Cost = (kilowatt-hours) x (electricity rate)
Cost = (600 kWh/month) x ($0.14/kWh)
Cost = $84/month
